Today I walked up to Connie (the $200 1989 Kawasaki EX500 that got me from Long Beach, NY to Long Beach, CA) and she started right up after sitting idle outside for many weeks. It was as if she was waiting for the next journey to begin. With that, I went down to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and registered the bike in the state of California so we're good to go.

The plan was simple; I was going to ride from Long Beach New York to Long Beach Los Angeles, cheaply and alone. I wanted to prove that you didn’t need the latest bike or accessories in able to have an adventure of a lifetime and of course, do it with the freedom of 2 wheels. I was also going to try and raise some money for ‘Riders for Health’, if I could achieve all that while discovering parts of America that would be more than wonderful. Continue Reading
